Victor Lamont Jones 4283 Jones Bridge Rd Blackville, South Carolina 29817 May 7, 2006 Dear Personnel / Engineering Manager Subject: Job Application of Designer / Draftsman in the Engineering Department. My experience in preparing 3D models and detailing drawings will benefit your company. Three months before graduating from Orangeburg Technical College, I received a call from Krohnert Stainless Inc. to fill a draftsman position. I accepted the request and began working full time promptly after graduation. At Krohnert Stainless I was responsible for completing drawings for Stainless Steel Cargo Tanks that carried hazardous waste, chemicals and dairy products. The drawings were prepared on AutoCAD release 12 in a two dimensional or isometric plan. After one year and a half, I moved my career to Electrolux Home Products (formally American Yard Products). At EHP, I was giving the task of using a CAD design package called CATIA to model 3D representations of lawn mower and tiller parts assemblies. I was responsible for 3D modeling and CAD assembly projects on the SEARS Craftsman Tractor (Poulan Pro, Husqvarna, etc.....) and Tiller products. I have also completed CAD courses using SOLIDWORKS 2007, while attending Trimech Training Firm for 3D modeling and product assembly design. Now I am looking to move my career to a higher level in CAD Drafting with telecommunications, using Microstation (BSTCAD) for a consulting organization under contract with AT&T. The enclosed resume provides further details about my education and experience. After you have reviewed the enclosed resume, I will welcome the opportunity to discuss the position with you and how I might contribute to your organization's goals. Please call me at home (803) 284-4627; an email will be greatly appreciated if you cannot contact me (victorljones@yahoo.com). I look forward to the interview and the opportunity to be part of your company. Sincerely Victor Lamont Jones enclosure vlj
